Perceptions of policing in Kosovo
Summary
This report is part of a series which is tracking people's changing perceptions of security in Kosovo and examines the safety and security issues that communities in Kosovo face. This paper has a focus on policing.
Drawing on data collected in a Kosovo-wide household survey and focus group discussions, the report analyses the relationship of a number of different factors, including levels of trust in police, geographical position and ethnicity on perceptions of policing in Kosovo.
The report concludes with recommendations on how the Kosovo Police Service can both improve its performance and work more effectively with the community to improve its standing among Kosovo's population.
