International advocacy

We can only reach a limited number of people through our projects on the ground.

But we can improve security for many more if we influence major international actors so that their policies and actions support conflict prevention, security and justice sector development and tackle the proliferation of arms.

What we do

We work with decision-makers at a number of different levels – the UK, the EU and the UN

We develop proposals on how international actors can improve their impact and work with parliamentarians, the media and other non-governmental organisations to raise public awareness and help create pressure for change.

Increasingly, we are using our country programmes to monitor how effectively the international community is implementing its commitments.
